Business Organizations
Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce: The law firm has been a member of the Reston Chamber since 1995. During that period, Mr. Brennan has served on the Public Policy Committee, the Taste of Reston Committee, the Ethics Day Committeed and the Board of Directors. Mr. Brennan was elected to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors for 2009-1010. In 2001, Mr. Brennan was chosen to be the Member of the Year for the Reston Chamber.
Vienna Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce: The law firm has been a member of the Vienna Chamber since 1995. Mr. Brennan was elected to the Board of Directors of the Vienna Chamber in 1996 and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber from 1999-2000. Mr. Brennan was awarded the Chairman’s Award in 1998 and was named as Citizen of the Year in 2006.
Service Organizations
Vienna Rotary Club: Mr. Brennan has been a member of the Vienna Rotary Club since 1995. During that time, he has served on the Board of Directors, held the office of Club Secretary and was President of the Club for 2005-2006. Mr. Brennan was named Rotarian of the Year for 2005-2006. In January 2008, Mr. Brennan was elected to be President of the Rotary Club of Vienna Foundation. The Foundation disburses funds from the Viva Vienna festival to worthwhile organizations. In 2008 the Foundation disbursed over $100,000 to 45 local and international charities.
Leadership Fairfax, Inc.: Mr. Brennan was a member of the Leadership Fairfax Class for 2008-2009.
Religious OrganizationS
Emmanuel Lutheran Church: Mr. Brennan has been a member of the Congregation of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Vienna, Virginia since 1994. Mr. Brennan served on the Church Council for three years and was elected to be President of the Congregation for 2000-2001. Since 1999, Mr. Brennan has sung with the Emmanuel’s Contemporary Christian group - Revelation.
Village of Hope: The Village of Hope is a project primarily serving the needs of the residents of the Republic of Haiti. It currently operates a school for approximately 600 Haitian children from the ages of Kindergarten through High School. The law firm has supported this organization by forming it as a 501(c)(3) entity and by providing legal advice regarding its operation. The Village of Hope is currently planning to build a medical facility that will serve the needs of the community of Ganthier, Haiti. That community currently has no medical facilities.
