Ms. Waite volunteered in the Genesee County legislature in high school and worked in the New York State legislature after her graduation from college. Ms. Waite earned her law degree from The National Law Center of George Washington University in 1990. She was licensed to practice law in Virginia in 1990, and was licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia 1992. Her professional memberships included the Fairfax County Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar and the D.C. Bar.
Ms. Waite was a partner with the law firm of Brennan & Waite, P.L.C. since it began in 1995. Her law practice emphasized family law matters such as child custody, visitation and support, juvenile law, divorce, family trusts, and guardianships. She had lengthy experience in collections matters, and she advised clients on many types of general litigation, including arbitration and new home warranties.
Ms. Waite was the President of the Optimist Club of Vienna from September, 2000 to September, 2001. She was an English as a Second Language tutor for the Literacy Council of Virginia for three years. She was active in the Reston Chamber of Commerce, where she was the co-chair for the Ambassador Committee for the 1999-2000 term. That year, the Ambassador Committee won the ACE award for outstanding service to the Chamber. Brennan & Waite, P.L.C. has been aan active members of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce since 1995.
Ms. Waite was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Vienna, Virginia, where her activities including singing in the choir, and her hobbies included tennis and playing with her beautiful, talented, and obedient Border Collie, Bobbie. On March 17. 2001, Ms. Waite had a baby, Kelly Ann Brennan. In September, 2001, she was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. She had a very aggressive form of the disease and died on December 14, 2001. She was a great lady and will be missed by all who knew her, especially her husband, MAtthew Brennan, and her daughter Kelly Ann. The law firm will retain her name as long as it is in existence.

Carol Waite
Ms. Waite was born in Batavia, New York and lived on a family dairy farm until her graduation from Alexander Central School. She then attended Wells College in Aurora, New York for one year, and graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a B.A. in Political Science.
